Your Basic Doodler

Hey y'all! 

Okay, so this is a post that might catch you a little off guard. 

This post involves a dream of mine, and I would love to see it become a reality!

I recently expressed my passion of doodling that I've been holding in since....forever.... and I took it to social media. This was something I wasn't too sure of in the beginning... I didn't really share that I doodled the artwork I've been posting at first because I tend to lack confidence at times (we all do, right?!). Of course I am no professional, but I enjoy doodling... A LOT! So much that I created a little Etsy shop a couple of weeks ago with a start to my collection, and I'm finally having the guts to share it. What you would be able to purchase is simply a PDF of my art, so you can keep it, frame it, post it, print it, etc. 

And one more thing, I recently designed this shirt that says "basic." Not sure if you read my first post featuring the shirt, but this word means a little more to me than what others might think. Take it how you want it, and if you want it.... I would absolutely love to do a pre-order! 

Here is the info for the shirt AND my goals for the future:

The shirt is a unisex vintage white t-shirt (it's awesome quality and super soft!). The price would be $25. 

If I can sell 25 of these shirts, I already have designs in mind for the future and I can't wait to share them with you! If you have any friends who are "basic" (your meaning and/or mine) that would be interested in a shirt, please have them email me at with their shirt size!

ONE of my goals is to create a few shirts for fun, but also to help support a couple of things dear to me (will share more if and when these first shirts sell!). 

My SECOND goal has something to do with my little doodles, but it's a little far fetch for now...maybe... we'll see... I'm leaving it in God's hands. Basically. ;)

I would truly love the support from you all by helping make these little dreams become a reality. Also, will you please pray for me as I take on this risk of mine? It's crazy, my heart is beating fast and I have butterflies about this all! I don't know if that's a good thing or bad, but I'm just gonna roll with it and trust God.

Dance Class - Pep Rally

Since football practices haven't happened yet (they will be starting next week! EEEK!), I've been taking random dance classes this summer! I decided to post the video of the most recent one on my YouTube channel (can you take a guess as to which blondie I might be?! We all look alike!): 

The fun thing about these classes is that you don't have to have a dance background to attend. They are SO much fun because you learn a small routine and burn calories doing so! Also, it has really helped me with my dance skills and memory!

Dark Chocolate M&M Energy Balls

So, my sister, Gabbie, sent me this original post on Pinterest and I HAD to try it! Below is the same recipe with a couple of tweaks:


  • ½ cup creamy Peanut Butter
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats (I mixed in steel cut oats too!)
  • ⅓ cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 Tablespoon chia seeds
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate M&M's
  • optional: 1 Tablespoon hemp seeds and shredded coconut

  • - - - - - - - - - - -

    Mix all ingredients in a medium size to large size mixing bowl.

    Place mixture in fridge for 15-30 minutes.
    Roll into balls (it's easier when your hands are wet), place in a Tupperware container, and put back in fridge to store.

    New Overnight Oats Recipe!

    Hey y'all! 

    I've had a few requests for the recipe for this yummy overnight oats featured in this picture I took today! 

    What you need:
    - 1/4 cup steel cut oats
    - 1/4 cup rolled oats
    - 1-2 tbs protein powder (I pictured the one I use!)
    - 1/2 tbs chia seeds
    - 1/2 tbs hemp seeds (optional)
    - 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 
    - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    - 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    -  1 tbs peanut butter (optional)
    - dark chocolate chips (optional)

    Mix all of the dry ingredients in a tupperware, stir in milk and vanilla extract (make sure the protein powder isn't stuck to the bottom), and top with chocolate chips and peanut butter. Cover and place in the fridge overnight! It will be nice and ready for you when you wake up! :) I enjoy this breakfast after a good workout. I do not eat it everyday though!

    Wheatgrass Shots

    Okay, have you ever tried the acquired taste of a wheatgrass shot?

    It's not the most satisfying thing, but...

    Why should you take one? 

    Supposedly, one wheatgrass shot is equivalent to FOUR pounds of vegetables!

    Umm, I won't pass that up! And besides, the taste only lasts a second!

    What you need:
    -a couple of handfuls of wheatgrass (sold at a local grocery store)
    -1 cup of coconut water
    -ice cube tray
    -flour towel
    -bowl or measuring cup (something easy for you to pour from)

    Here are the steps:

    Blend the wheatgrass and coconut water in a blender.

    As it sits and the foam goes down, have your towel and measuring cup ready.

    Pour the juice into the towel over the measuring cup.

    Squeeze out all of the remaining liquid from the towel.

    Pour the wheatgrass liquid into an icecube tray and freeze!

    Lastly, pop an ice cube or two in a shot glass or cup in the morning as you are getting ready, then enjoy when you head out the door! I've been doing one icecube for now with some water added.
