Gabbie is a huge reason why I keep my blog going and why I started it.
Around the time that I was thinking about creating my blog, she came to me extremely upset. She wasn't happy with herself inside and out. She didn't like the way she looked or the way she was feeling. I sat down with her and told her that she could easily fix this. I said that if she made some little changes, it would pay off, but she had to start by trusting and believing in herself! I told her it would be tricky changing food habits at first, but if she stuck with it she would feel so much better.
And that's exactly what she did. And as a matter of fact, she has lost 10 pounds and has seen a dramatic difference in her face, she noticed that it was a lot clearer!
So how did she do this all in just 4 weeks?
She changed her lifestyle in a positive way.
I sat down with her and figured out a meal plan. I had her write down the foods she loves (that she thought were healthy, but still satisfying to eat) and I planned out some meals that she could easily make and eat throughout the day!
She completely cut out energy drinks. This was definitely hard at first. She was having mood swings, cravings, and was sleepier. But those side effects only lasted a week. She now actually has been going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. She's been getting normal hours of sleep!
She drinks water. A lot of water. And she also found a new liking: orange juice! It's a way better alternative to energy drinks she says. She also will have iced coffee every now and then for the caffeine kick.
This is the most confident and happy I have ever seen her! She is so positive and motivated. It really is crazy how changing little habits can make huge differences!
Gabbie will be going off to Ole Miss this week and I couldn't be more proud of her.
Gabbie, if anyone can tackle this new experience, it's you! I pray God provides you with strength as you start this new journey. I pray He brings you wonderful experiences, warm welcomes, and forever friends and memories.
