Pink's Pizza!

Happy Friday!

I wanted to share with you guys a fun event I went to hosted by Toast from the Host

I recently met up with some other Houston bloggers at Pink's Pizza! Y'all, I've had Pink's before in the past and it has always been a fav! But to be honest, that was before my food allergies. Well, not only were the cooks and manager super accommodating, the pizza was the BEST pizza I've ever had.

I ordered a gluten free pizza with jalapenos, pepperoni, bacon (of course), black olives, and goat cheese. I have a cow's milk allergy, so I typically can't have cheese. When they brought my pizza, it was SO delicious! After two pieces, I realized there was cheese on it but I didn't want to say anything because I felt guilty (and it was good LOL), but I ended up finding out that it was a vegan cheese which I had never tried! I kid you not, it was hands-down the best pizza I've eaten.

I highly recommend you guys checking it out!

Dermal Infusion with Artavi Medspa

Hey y’all!

It has been awhile since I last posted! Why? Well, I’m not going to lie... I’ve been trying to test out and see if I should continue to write on here or just stick to Instagram. I’ve come to the fact that I enjoy having my blog because I still look back at it for reference of things such as food and motivation!

Okay, so I think around the last time I posted was when I started using Primally Pure skincare. I plan to do a full post on them alone, but if you haven’t tried their products yet... you should. Their products have transformed my skin by getting rid of my acne which leads to this post:

DERMAL INFUSION! Since most of my acne is cleared, I’m left with scars. I feel as though I’m at that point where a professional needs to take over and help my skin look good as new. I had the opportunity to visit Artavi Medspa in the Heights for a dermal infusion treatment. When I walked in, I felt welcomed by the staff and the aesthetic. The place is beautiful and in such a cute location!

What is a dermal infusion?

Dr. Desai is extremely knowledgeable and informed me of what a dermal infusion is along with other treatments that would be good for my scarring. She educated me along with getting to know me and how my skin is. You can click here to read into detail about what a dermal infusion is.

Did it hurt?

Definitely not. It wasn’t a relaxing facial, but more of a “cat licking” feeling along with a suction type feeling. I didn’t mind it at all. Dr. Desai used the acne tip brush for me along with the pore clarifying serum.

The results?

Now, I know it won’t take just one session to see lasting results, so I will definitely be back! I did notice my skin feeling extremely soft after the session and for the rest of the day! One thing I also noticed is that when I went to wash my face before bed I had some acne/blackheads rise to the surface of my skin. I definitely think the treatment helped bring those to the top, but I want to keep an eye on them and make sure the serum that was infused didn’t cause breakouts. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I tend to react to things differently than most people.

Does this sound like something you would give a try? If so, you can find this service along with many other beneficial treatments here. Also, follow them on Instagram for tips, tricks, and photos!

Summer Dress and Dog Days Stress

Dress: Tres Chic N Sassy // Purse: Tory Burch (it's on SALE!) // Sunglasses: Ray Ban //
Shoes: Target // Photographer: Priscilla Bearden

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!

I don't know about you, but I've hit the dog days.
Also, I don't know if it's the weather or what, but my skin is NOT liking me right now. It's driving me nuts! I went to the Dermatologist back in May and was prescribed an antibiotic and topical cream. Supposedly, the cream is supposed to dry my face out... it hasn't. Also, I'm not too sure what the antibiotic is doing either. As far as food and makeup... well, I've been eating decent with no exercise (I don't eat gluten and I've had a tiny bit of dairy lately). Definitely need to be eating more greens, I will admit. Makeup, I haven't been wearing any. Except for shoots. So... skin, what is going on?! Maybe you look at these pictures and think... she doesn't have it that bad... well, think again. If you know me super well or have seen me recently without makeup, I look like a 15 year old boy going through his acne stage in life. It sucks. I know patience is key, but its rough.

Okay, Saturday morning rant is over. Just need a place to vent about my face. Ha!

Happy 4th of July, friends!

I am thrilled to share with you this cute summer look featuring this cute and affordable overall dress from Tres Chic N Sassy! I feel like this is such a versatile look. You could totally wear this to a music festival, girls trip, date, the list goes on!

I had so much fun shooting this look with Priscilla. I've said this before and I will say it again: she is AMAZING. Friends, bloggers, families, seniors, etc. She has an eye for it all and is so easy to shoot with. Funny story about this look... Priscilla and I borrowed a random American flag from one of the flower pots in Market Street. Also, fun fact... Priscilla loves the 4th of July! Her ideal one would be celebrating it in a small town in Colorado. What about you? How do you or would you like to celebrate the 4th?

Stay tuned for more looks this week from Tres Chic N Sassy!
