Overnight Oats

Hey y'all!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday! The weather is a bit gloomy and boring here, but that doesn't mean the food we eat has to be!

Recently, I have been on an overnight oats kick. Like, it's crazy. After this Whole30 challenge ended, I told myself I would slowly start bringing other foods (still clean) back into my daily habits.

Before I give you some recipes, I just want to let you know what I've been up to lately!

I recently finished the Whole30 challenge and I don't regret a thing. It seriously changed the way I look at food. I'm so fortunate to have the whole, clean, and nutritious foods that God supplies us! I don't crave crazy bad foods as much anymore. Honestly, I haven't been craving cheese, rice, beans, or anything consisting of bread-like substances either....sweets, though, that's another story.

Here are my final results of the challenge:

I lost 8 pounds (not that I was really wanting to though because pounds don't really matter to me)
I lost 2 inches around my waist.....in THIRTY days! INSANE! And I swear I ate.... a lot! Just the right foods and CrossFit!

It was definitely a challenge, but I would definitely take it on again.

Actually, I am still going to be eating how I was on Whole30, but incorporating a few more foods in small doses such as greek yogurt, oats (rolled and steel cut), hummus, and protein powder. I guess you could say I will be back to clean eating! Which is perfectly okay too.

If you don't already know, I am trying out for the Houston Texans Cheerleaders on March 28th. I'm definitely doing it for fun because it has always been something I've wanted to do! I've never had the confidence to do such a thing, but I'm going for it! So far, I have met so many wonderful girls throughout the journey! It has been so fun getting back into dancing! No matter what happens with the outcome, I will be happy to say I had a blast doing it! :)

Okay, now for the overnight oats...

Here are links to three of my faves right now:

Banana Vanilla Overnight Oats

(I will add a picture of this one later)

Peanut Butter Cup Overnight Oats

I've subbed a few things such as peanut butter for almond butter, chocolate chips for cacao nibs, milk for almond milk, and I use raw honey for the extra sweetener. My favorite greek yogurt to add is the Fage Vanilla.

P.S. Only two more weeks until Spring Break!! I hope to plan some fun workouts soon! :)

If you have any questions or oats ideas, feel free to let me know!
